Precautions For The Use Of Umbrella Rope

- 2021-08-13-

The parachute rope was originally the control line on the parachute, and later used as a standard practical rope in the military forces of various countries. Umbrella rope can do many things in outdoor sports, such as housing construction; repairing equipment and clothing; making traps and fishing nets; making fire bows for wood drills and so on. In most cases, umbrella rope is a good choice because it is practical, strong, small and easy to carry. Before you are ready to travel, you confirm how many cables you need to use. Make sure to pack it in two places, put it in your backpack and carry it with you. This is for the umbrella cord to be used when it is separated from your bag.

When your parachute cord is limited in length, you should use it as efficiently as possible. Use the minimum parachute line to do what is absolutely necessary. It should be possible to use simple and strong knots. If possible, you can untie the uncut parachute rope and keep it intact for the next task.

Military colors such as green, khaki, and wolf brown are ideal colors for military umbrella cords because they have a good camouflage effect. But in outdoor sports, red is the best, because it is prominent and eye-catching, it is easy to find, if you put it on the ground, it can be used to assist positioning.

Precautions for the use of umbrella rope

1. Check the rope before use
The rope with scars or kinks may break during use, so it must be checked before use, and if there is kinks, it must be restored.

2. Doesn't stain the rope
Dirt is the main reason for the deterioration of the rope, and it also deteriorates its strength. In the wild, do not place the rope directly on the ground, and be careful not to allow oil stains to adhere to the rope. In addition, be sure to dispose of the dirt on the rope after use.

3. Don't step on the rope
The rope is often scarred or deteriorated due to being stepped on. In addition, if a small stone or the like runs into the rope, there may be a risk of breaking when carrying a weight. Especially in the mountains in winter, if the cleats on the shoes are stepped on, they can no longer be used. When rock climbing, you often step on the climbing rope unknowingly, so please pay more attention to this.

4. Keep the rope away from sharp objects
When the rope touches sharp objects such as rock edges and corners and bears a heavier burden, the risk of rope breakage is increased. At present, safety guidelines have been formulated for climbing ropes. In this situation, the use of climbing ropes or ropes is absolutely prohibited. It is really indispensable and needs to be protected with towels, etc., to avoid direct contact with sharp objects.

5. Don't suddenly add to the rope
Doing so will cause scars to the rope. Even if it is sometimes not visible on the surface, the inside may have been broken. Therefore, be careful not to let the rope bear too much load.

6. Don't borrow the rope
There is nothing more dangerous than a rope that has not been used under what circumstances. Because if you use a rope that seems to have withstood a sudden weight without knowing it, then the rope may be cracked. Therefore, absolutely avoid borrowing the used rope from others, or lending your own rope to others.

7. Do not use such ropes
Ropes can be said to be consumables, not that they can be used for life after buying one. If a scarred rope is used, there will be an accident one day. It must be checked frequently, and a new rope should be replaced immediately after the scar is found. In addition to the rope that has scratches, cuts or abrasions should be replaced immediately, the rope that has been overused for more than two years must also be replaced. Even if there are no obvious scars, it is quite old. In addition, ropes that have been subjected to sudden weight, such as climbing ropes that have been used to support people who fell while climbing, must never be used again.
